Does anyone know how to get cards working inside an action group?

I have used maps many times before, but this is the first time I have ever tried to use it in an ActivityGroup. I spent hours pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the cards would not be displayed (just showing the grid), and it turns out that this is simply because the Activity is in an ActivityGroup.

I was looking for a problem, but everyone found that people are asking how to not receive answers.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get maps working inside an ActivityGroup?

ActivityGroup manages other activities. Activity with a map should extend MapActivity (which an ActivityGroup does not explicitly do).
