View js files in firefox

Every time I try to go to the JS file in Firefox, I get a save-as dialog. I would like to simply view the source code in a real browser and not download or open the file in another editor.

Is there a way to get Firefox to browse files?

In Firefox, you can use the view-source:psuedo protocol .

Enter the URL address bar:

view-source:http://server/whatever/your/url/is.js

I would try the excellent Open in Browser , which is worth having as part of a standard Firefox installation.
