I know that this question is eight years old, and that the graphic database market essentially appeared during this period, but now, perhaps, there are several answers.
One such answer is Objectivity / DB. This is an object-oriented database with built-in graphical capabilities, including node / edge semantics, navigation queries, and an object / graph query language called "DO".
