I have several users who visit the sharepoint main page, believe that the width of the right column is very wide. I determined that this is the user account. My primary account is OK, my secondary account has a too wide column.
I tried the obvious steps, i.e. set the width of the columns with the sharepoint designer, changing all the web parts in this column to a fixed number of pixels. Nothing changes the width of a column for those where it is too wide.
The column width changes, but only when the window is resized, for example, when the window is maximized. It returns to its original size when the window returns to its normal state.
A few years ago I built our internal site with vb and asp.net. I had some users who would get an error in their "profile". I had to go into the database and delete this user, and then they will work fine. I tried to delete the user profile in sharepoint, but it does not work either.
I think it looks like the width seems to be stored somewhere and reused on every page request.
The problem occurs on different PCs. I can log in with my main account, and that’s fine, I log in with my secondary account and is too wide.
The same PC, the same as other magazines. I do not know what to remove or reset to fix this problem.
