Deploying webservice from Team Foundation Server to IIS

I made the local helloworld web service (.asmx) that I want to test.

I have an environment in which I have already uploaded it to the Team Foundation server in NAME\CustomerApplications\TestService\TestService\service.asmx(the whole project is in this structure).

The TF server and IIS server are on the same machine.

Now, how do I deploy the service.asmx file so that I can locally get a service path like this http://serverip/../service.asmx:?

The “easiest” way to force an asp.net site / service (manually) in IIS to do the following:

  • Create a folder for it under c:\inetpub\wwwroot(assuming you have your web root pointer there).
  • service.asmx, .config bin ( , bin , .. service.asmx.cs)
  • " IIS" > > - > TheNameOfTheFolderCreatedInStep1
  • " "
  • , "..." ( .net 2.0 .net 4.0)
  • ""

http://serverip/FolderNameCreatedInStep1/service.asmx.
