WPF RTP Streaming

I am currently writing an application that will receive an RTP video stream from a VLC client. I hope to implement this in WPF and therefore have been looking for any solutions on the Internet to help me. So far, I have been viewing Live555 RTP streaming streams and considering embedding the VLC client in a WPF application. I also looked at WpfMediaKit, but I could not get this to work correctly, which is probably my own mistake.

I'm just wondering if it is even possible to stream video through RTP through WPF, or will I have to use an external library.
