How can I make sure that the email address you send is not automatically marked as spam?

I am launching a site for social videos. A user at different geographical locations uses this site to send video content to other people via email. But my clients report that emails sent to them are automatically marked as spam. I do not want my emails to be marked in the spam folder. What can I do to avoid this scenario?

I would recommend you view your emails through Google Apps. You confirm that on Google you own the domain and Google, the owner of the domain, and then you can use Google as an outgoing mail server.
