Can ESB / BPM completely get rid of coding, except for packaging web services?

In the big company I work for, a very (expensive) ESB was purchased, the goal is to quickly reconcile with a business goal, reusing an outdated infrastructure, wrapping them with web services, i.e. no more coding required, Are Is ESB / BPM really mature enough for this because it is now over 10 years old or is it just another vendor promise?

Almost certainly just a promise from a supplier. If this becomes a reality for your company, they will be the first to get lucky!

This is the same work that has been done over and over for more than ten years (remember 4GL?).
