Multiple CSS sheets - Container div background not on top?

I give new life to a boring web page. See what my template looks like: Fix body page Pretty page!

Now - when I go to add my existing background / menu / footer - I somehow lose the image of my container -

/* structure */
.container {
background: url(/img/bgcontainer.gif) repeat-y;
margin: 0 auto;
width: 702px;
position:relative;
}

I deleted the position: relative; (but he still failed). Please note that I need to use the web content manager only because I do not have other access to the site. For this reason, my css sheet is in the middle of the page. Here's what the w / missing bgcontainer.gif page looks like: Current page

Please help - thanks
