Is it possible to “re-clean” iOS Date Picker?

I need a custom date picker, basically just want to remove the graphics in the iOS version, but keep the date scroll with three columns. Is it necessary to rebuild it from scratch (all points of research are “yes”), or can you just turn off or change images.

I have not tried this myself, but maybe you could just add a UIImageView over the datepicker with a transparent section for scrollable sections to be displayed.

Change the background of the UIPickerView to check the Adam response related to collector views.

I do not think you can change the UIDatePicker images. UIPickerView you can, but as you say, you will lose a lot of functionality.
