Difference between SAS PC and SAS Server

Actually my project is integrated with Java. From Java code, SAS is called using drop-down lists. We are currently using a SAS server. Now my client wants to switch to a SAS PC instead of a SAS server. What is the difference in my application?

PC SAS is a single installation of SAS software. It usually consists of SAS Foundation tools, such as basic SAS, SAS / STAT and SAS / GRAPH software components (product - SAS Analytics Pro). It provides the benefits of data integration, data processing, data analysis and data presentation (reporting and visualization) on a small scale. It is used in small groups in departments focused on a specific business process or part of a business process.

In addition, it is usually a mistake to assume that you cannot process large amounts of data using a SAS PC, you just need to be a little more disciplined in this, using the end-to-end SQL query method for your proc sql and having the database do a heavy lift for yourself. With a SAS PC, you will want to work mainly with data that has already been slightly reduced / summarized in the database when the data becomes large.
