Ruby / Rails reporting tools?

I am looking for FOSS or paid frameworks that I can integrate into a rails application that will allow me:

  • Create ready-made reports (data and graphs) and publish them to users.
  • Allow users to create their own custom reports based on the data sets that I give them. (i.e., I give them a representation of the "data" of the data, and they can query it and chop and chop the way they want.

This should be what I can install on the Heoku rails website.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is there such a thing? I know that web reporting solutions are often far from ideal, but I hope that somewhere there will be one FOSS where I can get the source code and contribute. I haven't found anything yet.
