I plan to develop some kind of application, like connecting friends of friends to friends. It may look like Facebook or Twitter, but initially I plan to implement this to learn more about NOSQL databases.

NOSQL has a number of database tools. I went through many types of databases, such as document storage, key storage, column type, graph databases. And finally, I came up with two database tools, which are cassandra and Neo4J. Is it right to choose someone if you do not correct me and provide me with some of your valuable opinions.

Another thing is the language binding I choose JAVA.
