Rails: Can't use the methods defined in the application helper as part of email presentation development?

I created some kind of mini cms and I try to call the function called render_content in the email confirmation view, but it just won’t take it :( Alway complains that the method does not exist? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here ... Alex

Well, after some time I realized this, if the assistant is in the application assistant, then this call will work:

ApplicationController.helpers.render_content()
