Is MacRoman encoding support guaranteed on all Java SE 1.5+ virtual machines?

Thanks to the people who answered, I realized that I really deal with files encoded in "MacRoman":

What encoding is the 0xDB currency symbol in?

So I'm wondering: are the encodings contained in lib / charsets.jar guaranteed to exist in all 1.5 JVMs?

http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/guide/intl/encoding.doc.html

Unlike, for example, UTF-8, x-MacRoman is absent in rt.jar, and in lib / charsets.jar. I do not understand this difference very well.

Is MacRoman, like UTF8, guaranteed?

PS: it would be great if someone could create a MacRoman tag.
