WebView inside the application?

Question

So, I have a WebView inside LinearLayout with an EditText block and a button to search the application on the Internet. When I press the mouse button, I take me to the Android browser. how do i make it stay in my webview when i click go? here is my layout:

To be precise, you can try the following change:

public void openBrowser(){
    //Ensure that URL entered is a valid one
    mWebView.loadUrl(text.getText().toString());
}

When I click the "Enable my button" button, it takes me to the Android browser.

This is because you said Android. startActivity()launches an action.

how can i make it so that it stays in my webview when i click go?

loadUrl() WebView startActivity().
