As a developer, how do I uninstall an application from the AppStore that you previously submitted and is available through iTunes?

We created an application sent to the AppStore, now we want to make it inaccessible via iTunes for further download. There is no intuitive way to do this through iTunesConnect.

Not intuitive, but removing the app from iTunesConnect in Apple suggests that it "disables further sales of your app." From the iTunes Connect Developer's Guide :
