HttpURLConnection POST, conn.getOutputStream () throwing Exception

Question

I want to do a POST using an HttpURLConnection. I try to do this in two ways, but I always enjoy:conn.getOutputStream();

The exception that I get in both cases:

java.net.SocketException: operation timeout: connect: invalid address may be caused

The url simply cannot be reached. Either the URL is incorrect or the DNS server cannot resolve the host name. Try a simple connection to a known URL to exclude one and the other, for example
