Is it possible to use MTOM in a CXF RESTful Web Service response

Question

I am using the CXF 2.2.12 library for my web services.

Is it possible to use MTOM (message passing optimization engine) in a RESTful response ?

Would thank for any links to the docs / tutorials regarding this. Thanx!

MTOM is SOAP specific, so I would say that it is not compatible with the RESTful architecture. However, HTTP supports multi-component content, so you can do everything MTOM does directly in HTTP.
