FileServlet (BalusC solution) does not show save dialog in IE

Question

I am currently creating a JSF application with Primefaces. I serve files from a database and I use the BalusC FileServlet solution found on his blog.

My problem occurs in IE. When I click the download link, my browser blinks and nothing happens. However, it works fine in firefox.

I tried changing the Content-Disposition header from “attachment” to “inline” to see if that would make any difference. He is in firefox, but again did nothing in IE.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank!
