Restart application when exiting background

I saw how many news applications do this when, when you click on an application (on the iphone desktop) that was in the background, it starts again, showing a loading screen, etc. Basically it looks like it starts up again, as if it had never been in the background (I think it's called a β€œUI update”). Does anyone know how you do this? I assume this is a call from within the application to delegate the application to applicationWillEnterForeground or applicationDidBecomeActive.

The application has probably never been a thing of the past. Try adding this to the Info.plist file.

UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend=YES

As a boolean value.
