Document Recovery

I am creating an automation solution for Word (2007). Sometimes I have to kill the Word process. The next time you start the word, a tab / window appears, offering to restore the unsaved document. I would like to disable this or close my application. I do not know where the entry point to this tab / window is.

EDIT: I found out that the word calls this "Feature" Repair, not Recover. Still do not know how to avoid / bypass / disable it.

Suggestions?

This can be resolved by removing the Resiliency key in the registry before starting Word again. This is described here:

, Word,

Resilience . , , :

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\\Word\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\\Word\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\Microsoft\Office\\Word\Resility

I assume that you have access to the word:

It doesn't seem to work, you can try Options.SaveInterval = 0

(source: http://www.tech-archive.net/Archive/Word/microsoft.public.word.customization.menustoolbars/2004-07/0195.html )

but I suppose this gives the same effect as I said first.
