(+6 months) experience with Magnolia and Jahia, which is better?

we learn CMS based on java (yes java, we move away from scripting languages).

Does anyone have experience working with community editions of Magnolia and Jahia to make module building easier and your overall experience?

  • For content editors
  • For developers (who make modules)
  • How easy it is to process a change request (can you add one or the other to the foo / bar page)

Jahia is certainly a very interesting solution, but the need to rely on the DBMS (and, therefore, on unnecessary integration dependency) is a big "console" for enterprise solutions. Scaling is also not easy, while with Magnolia I can configure a new instance of “publish” (or “render”) at any time, increasing performance and security (fault tolerance).
