Developing CLDC or J2ME applications for Mac OSX?

I noticed that Oracle has released the Java Platform Micro Edition SDK for OSX . It works, it can compile the given examples, as well as the included phone emulator. But how can I compile my own J2ME project with Ant or Eclipse ?

There are many related jars , but they are all inside the ".app" in the / Applications directory. Eclipse does not like it when I put the path in the toolchain inside ".app".

Have you tried using the EclipseME plugin? It helps integrate JavaME development (J2ME) into Eclipse. Here is a guide for working with Eclipse:

Eclipse ME / Configuration

You will find a lot of documentation and how to do it.

If you don't like EclipseME, I personally found Netbeans very useful for developing mobile devices:

JavaME Netbeans Page

Also, you were not specific in your question, but the link you provided indicates that you want to use MTJ. In this case, use this documentation to help you:

Eclipse MTJ - Getting Started

If you want to use ANT, I just copied the necessary banks from the Windows SDK and just used the preliminary verifier and javac from osx 3.0 sdk, it works well!
