Mapping hibernate datetimeoffset

I am trying to use sleep mode with ms sql server and am having difficulty displaying datetimeoffset type of sql type in java. If I try to set the display type in reverse engineering configuration with:  

I am getting sth error message. like org.hibernate.MappingException: jdbc-type: microsoft.sql.Types.DATETIMEOFFSET is not a known JDBC type and a valid number

I assume that only detault jdbc types can be used in this context.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

The user can specify a custom Hibernate type. For example, implementing org.hibernate.type.MutableType.
