Can I change the background of the PreferenceActivity?

Question

I found that you can change the background PreferenceActivitywithgetListView().setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.bg);

However, if you go to any darker PreferenceScreens settings, the background will turn black.

In PreferenceScreenthere are no methods that would also allow you to change the background.

Nested PreferenceScreens are supposed to take the theme from the parent, but due to this error http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4611&q=preference%20nested&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Owner% They don’t do 20Summary% 20Stars , and I don’t know how to set the background to manually nested preferences. I hope this helps at least explain why.

I would like to hear if you find a workaround :)
