Obviously, Apple does this with UITableViewCells. I am wondering if someone tried this with other subclasses of UIView. And if so, what was your experience?
HJCache caches and splits UIImage objects to make tables with uploaded images smoothly scroll even on first-generation iPhones. Note that it shares UIImage, not UIImageView.
