GWT Developer Plugin For IE Installation Problem

Question

I am using window 7 (32-bit) with IE8 and I am having problems installing the GWT Developer plugin for IE.

You receive the following error message: "Installer loading error. Error code = 0x80072efe"

the installer remains at the "plugin download" stage.

I made sure my Windows 7 firewall was turned off and also turned off my antivirus program, but still the same problem.

Any ideas?

Most users trying to install the GWT devmode plugin for IE8 on the 32-bit version of Windows 7 (Vista) could use the following script from the command line (replace “Foo” with your Windows username):

regsvr32.exe "C:\Users\Foo\AppData\Local\Google\Google Web Toolkit\ \IE\oophm.dll"
