Moving file against cut / copy / paste?

Just a general question: what is the difference between moving a file and operations (cuts) / copy / paste? I mean, at least with regard to the underlying operating system. What happens to file attributes in each operation? I'm just curious.

If you mean to cut and paste the entire file into your file manager, then (in any reasonable file manager) it’s just a move operation, i.e. renameor, if that fails, a copy followed unlink.

Signs are preserved if possible. (For example, moving a file from a Unix volume to a mounted Windows FAT volume cannot save all attributes because FAT does not support ownership and permissions. If they are not saved when moving within the same volume, this is an error.)

What you say is the difference in the metaphor of the user interface. Under the hood, both operations will be implemented using the same mechanisms.

The logic of the cut paste works only in the same section. The list of folders cannot cover sections. If we try to cut a file from one section to another, it will take as long as copy-paste
