Google maps: can you insert more data into a polyline than lat / lon?

Question

I know that you can return Lat / Lon from a polyline through the click event.

However, all my data is tied to TIME, not Lat / Lon. There is probably too much data to search for a specific lat / lon.

Can I add any information to the polyline so that it returns some key (ideally, time) to me, after which I can search and find the rest of my data?

All my research says no, not pulling out all the data and not redoing it, or just brute force searching for my db.
