We need a help publishing tool that can generate web files as the main output and also publish in other formats. Both tools cost $ 999.99, and MadCap Flare marketing is very aggressive.
The application for which assistance is being developed has a Flex interface, and I really liked the Robohelp output format, as well as its interface. I could write articles as soon as possible, and I was able to insert screenshots on it, which is very important if you need to write a lot of documents. Flare does not allow me to insert screenshots, there is an add-on for capturing 40 bucks, but I really do not like the fact that they missed the opportunity to let you insert photos on the help page in favor of their internal function.
I was not able to view the generated help from MadCap in IE, she needed an add-on that I couldnβt turn on.
I read many articles that praise Flare over Robohelp, but I got the impression that Robohelp is the best tool for our needs.
Any opinions on which tool is best for this job? $ 999 is not a big deal, so free tools are no better because they are free.
