Update Notification When App Name Changes

I have had an Android application on the market for some time (7 months), which has been designated as β€œBeta” in the name. Yesterday I published a new version and thought it was time to leave the beta state. So I switched the header application to the market backend and removed the beta tag.

Problem: now users do not receive update notifications! If you are looking for an application in the market, the red update label is displayed correctly. But in the My Applications section, the update label and notification are never displayed. The user does not see the update.

This did not work on my two phones (both versions 2.2, I cleared the market cache), and it seems that almost all users continue to use the old version.

So is this a known issue? Or was it a temporary problem on my phone? Can anyone confirm this behavior?

And what can I do now? Switching the title back doesn't seem to help.

Thank you so much

Mark

Are you sure you have not changed the name of your package? (although the Market console should have caused an error if you tried to download and update using another pname)

Just change your label and version ...
