Someone can shed light on the following behavior. We had a UAT and a production version of the .NET web application. UAT took about 5 seconds to perform a specific operation, while Prod took 35 seconds.
This even happened by listing both web applications in the same database and placing them on the same machine.
Finally, the culprit was announced the following entry, which was in Prod, but not in UAT web.config
