Visual Studio 2008: .pdb files not created by Build Solution

I have a Visual Studio 2008 solution containing several C ++ projects. When I select the Debug configuration and build each project separately, I find the .pdb files for each project in the Debug directory. But when I build the whole solution, I do not. The output files appear in the Debug directory, but there are no .pdb files.

Any ideas?

Look at "Project Properties"> "Compilation" - click on "Compilation Options", then a new window will open, search for "Generate Debugging Information" and you can choose "No", "only for pdb" or "full" - if not then this will be the reason pdb have

Building the whole solution really creates separate projects (in parallel, if possible). The project configuration under construction is indicated in the Configuration Manager dialog box . It also indicates if the project has been created at all or if it will be excluded from the assembly in this solution configuration.

It’s good that you don’t tell us much about your project. However, this link may offer some suggestions:

Based on this, I notice that since pdb is designed for incremental binding, perhaps the compiler believes that they do not need it, since it makes the final link as part of the assembly.

Also, since the EXE path is one of the places that are looking for PDB., Is there any chance that they are in this directory?
