I tried to ignore specific files and directories to prevent local changes to the repository.
The problem that I encountered is that after the file has been transferred to the repository, you cannot ignore it .
svn propset svn:ignore '*' ./stuff
If the files are in a folder. / stuff has already been added and committed, they will not be ignored for future commits. I find that I often want to ignore certain files at the beginning of a project, but I cannot , because these directories do not work with copies , so I do
svn add *
svn revert fileIWantToIgnore.ext
svn propset svn:ignore 'fileIWantToIgnore.ext' .
This is a bit complicated process. What will be your suggestions?
