Public and fragmented code snippets?

Question

Is there an online tool for sharing and tracking code snippets between the development team?

My team mate is sitting next to me, and GTalk is not very suitable for inserting large fragments.

How can I copy-paste or drag and drop the source file or fragment to share between the codes? He must remember all the previous fragments and be accessible to the whole team. I would prefer not to resort to email. Or do I need to roll on my own?
