Alternative ActionMailer

I used actionmailer, but always thought it was heavy and unintuitive.

Do you guys know other solutions that are easier and more intuitive?

Look at the Pony gem (as in Pony Express), which is an easy alternative to ActionMailer:

require 'pony'
Pony.mail(:to => 'user@example.com', :from => 'railsapp@example.com',
          :subject => 'Hello From Rails')
