We are in the process of deciding whether we go to Omniture or Google Analytics.

Some GA information seems outdated on the Web, and finding answers to our questions is not easy.

In particular, I would appreciate some guidance regarding Google Analytics.

• Is there a limit on the number of custom variables?
• Is there a restriction on the type of variables that can be used?

and besides,

• What is your experience in the delay between the moment when the data is recorded on the GA side and the time when it becomes available for the GA account (reading 2 ~ 10 hours?).
