Ssl multisite certificate

We have a full application with a white label, where clients pointed the domain to our IP address. When the request arrives, we check $ _SERVER ['HTTP_HOST'] and serve the application based on $ _SERVER ['HTTP_HOST'].

Can I use an SSL certificate for multiple sites for all our customers?

This can be done in one of three ways:

  • SNI with a unique certificate for the domain (as indicated in the technical link)
  • Wildcard certificate
  • A single certificate with a large number of subjectAltName records

The disadvantage (1) is that it only works with certain browsers.

(2) , , , ( , *.com www.foo.com).

(3) , , , ( subjectAltName).
