Listen to HTML / CSS web page events

I am looking for a way to listen to an event in an HTML / CSS webpage. Basically, the website that I use on worksheets lists the queues and appointments, which are indicated as yellow / red, based on the amount of time that is late for making the specified appointment. Other than this visual assistant, there is no warning, which is a bad point if you juggle multiple windows and don't notice.

I would like to make an easy way to look at the tag identifier, or perhaps a hex color, and then warn me of my choice.

The working environment is on OS X, so I suggest that I look at the Objective-C solution, unless Applescript can do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that you did not mark jQuery or JavaScript, but may be a custom bookmarklet solution.

Be that as it may, I created a bookmarklet application some time ago to save your bookmarklet in an external script file.

After that, you can have alertor confirmautomatically for any event on the page.

Can I specify the browser that your user is using? If so, Chrome supports HTML5 from browser notifications, ala: http://slides.html5rocks.com/#notifications-api
