This code works fine in Chrome, Firefox, but not in IE

Question

I am trying to create a jquery tooltip that appears when a user translates a link to a link. In my case, the link uses display: block style, so that it covers a large area. It works fine in Chrome and Firefox, but it doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer. The tooltip is not displayed, it displays its own browser prompts, etc. .... IE !!!!

What version of IE are you using? In IE 8, this is normal.
