I have heard rumors that some of the database packages provided in the Oracle database may not necessarily be used for free. I thought that all packages, such as DBMS_UTILITY and DBMS_PROFILER, are free to use and do not require additional costs. And I also heard that there might be some kind of journal if you used some of these packages so that Oracle replicators can see later how the systems are used.
Do you know how this happens? Are there different licenses regarding the use of internal packages?
Thanks Jokke
DBMS_UTILITY and DBMS_PROFILER are free to use.
