URL patterns in iPhone application

I have an iPhone app to which I wanted to add URL schemes. The fact is that I have a free version and a plus version.

What I would like to do is use the same scheme for both applications, but if the plus version is installed, I want the PLUS version to start instead of the free version. Is it possible?

No. If several applications are registered using the same URL scheme, it is undefined, the application will be activated by the OS. From the iOS Application Programming Guide:
