Android: how to determine if an application is enabled for "allow automatic updates",

I have limited information about a new feature in version 2.2: "enable automatic updates" in an application on the market.

Is there a way to programmatically determine if the "allow automatic updates" application is enabled?

I assume that there is no API to enable the "enable automatic updates" value.
