Average Above Fold Window Values

Overall agreed that 1024x768-oriented browsers are acceptable, with a width of 960-980 pixels. (I personally prefer 960 for chrome, but don't want to argue.)

My question is: what window height can I use for users at all? I know this depends on a few things, so I wonder if anyone would do any research on what heights can be developed to reach x% of users.
