Build Errors When Importing Wiktionary

When I import a Wiktionary project into Eclipse, I immediately receive error messages related to my file strings.xml. The same errors occur if I load a project through subversion or from sample SDK files.

The data collection tool for Android (aapt) has become very strict in its latest version and is now used for all versions of Android. The aapt error you received is generated because it no longer allows non-positional format specifiers.

So, you should make some changes to your C: \ Trunk \ Wiktionary \ res \ values \ strings.xml file.

%% %, .

1,5 1,6 2,2 ( API 8)

res\values \ string.xml % %%

I had the same problem. Adding $ 1 and $ 2 to indicate positions did the trick. Fixed lines from strings.xml:

<string name="template_user_agent">"%1$s/%2$s (Linux; Android)"</string>
<string name="template_wotd_title">"Wiktionary:Word of the day/%1$s %2$s"</string>
