Reject popup by clicking on button in content view

Question

I am implementing a settings view that loads as a view of the contents of the popover controller in the main view, and the problem is this:

There are two buttons on the settings screen: Cancel and Finish, which should interrupt or save and apply the changes, and then reject the popover view, I already pass the popoverController instance from the main view to the settings view and then call:

[popoverController rejectPopoverAnimated: YES];

But nothing happens, the popover view is still visible until I touch something outside of it. I am already searching the Internet, but have not yet found an answer.

Does anyone know how to do this, please help me!
