IPhone - MPMoviePlayerController: Sample Code Demonstrating Two Problems

Question

This is sample code involving MPMoviePlayerController that shows two problems:

FIRST PROBLEM - The controller disappears To see this first problem

• Run the project on the iPad.
• Select a video from the iPad library.
• try to play it. The controller will disappear forever.

SECOND PROBLEM - Controller Failure

• uncomment the line "[self createThumbnails];" (line 190).
• run the application on the iPad again
• select video

This method that you uncommented will create asynchronous thumbnails for the video and this will crash the application. As far as I tried to use this in the past, this requestThumbnailImagesAtTimes: allThumbnails timeOption: method never worked for videos selected from the library using the UIImagePickerController.

I knock my head on the wall for several days and I don’t know how to solve it.
