Recommended web technologies for WPF developer?

I plan to develop an information system, but the fact is that it is better to use WPF than ASP.NET. I do not see anything that WPF cannot do on the Internet against ASP.NET, except for the built-in Membership class, etc.? Safety? I'm not quite sure. Please help. Thanks you

An ASP.NET site can run on virtually any computer, including platforms other than Windows, usually without the need to install additional software - simply using a standard web browser. WPF (Silverlight) allows you to use a richer interface, but it may require additional installation for your clients, and it may not work correctly on all platforms.

There is Moonlight , but so far only Silverlight 2 has been implemented.
