Recommended server technology for gwt (beginner)

I am developing a gwt project and looking for suitable server-side technology.

it should support open source and support user input (and not use openID ...) with password recovery, etc.

it seems that the de facto standard will be spring + hibernate. however, I am not familiar with any of them and understand that the learning curve (especially for spring) is very high. gwt was pretty easy to master using the excellent GOOG online tutorials, but the spring equivalent seems to impose a lot of configuration files and a deeper understanding of its internal components.

so I'm looking for a simpler server-side technology to deploy my gwt application. I am definitely ready to learn a new structure if necessary, but not something that will take me 2 months to understand the basics ...

any ideas ...?

Spring Roo should start right away with a GWT application . It even has scaffoling (like Rails) to easily create code for views and models. Here's a nice video introducing Roo, and here’s a guide for the 10 minute credential app that Rails created many years ago.

Roo, , , (.. Spring , , Maven,...).

Google AppEngine + GWT. :

, Google Eclipse, GWT, Google AppEngine ..

-, Google App Engine, Java, GWT. . App Engine , GWT.

An easy way to integrate build processes is to (1) use the GWT code generator to generate a standard project tree and ant build process, and then (2) read this article about integrating GAE / Java with GWT: https://developers.google.com/web -toolkit / doc / latest / tutorial / appengine
